It has bagged two awards for:
1. The Best Hotel over 200 rooms in the Asia pacific, and
2. The best Public area / Lobby / Lounge in the world.
The prize distribution ceremony for these distinguished awards was solemnized at a glittering ceremony a few days ago at Venice in Italy. The venue was the Hotel Cipriani which is one of the high-end properties of Venice.
It was a big occasion for the principles, promoters, staff and the management of the hotel who were instrumental in achieving the high standards that are required by the industry and demanded by the customers.
Speaking about the awards, the Chief of design explained the strategy and hard work that goes into getting such awards. In fact. He went on to say that the property in Manila was blessed with the best DNA among the whole group.
Geoff Andres who is the President of the The Crown Towers, Manila explained that the Chairman of the Melco Crown Entertainment had a vision for this brand.
The COD explained that the efforts are on to upgrade the Manila property to enable it to come up to the same level as the other properties that the group owns.
Mr Lawrence Ho, the Chairman and CEO of the Melco Crown Entertainment Group had instructed that this property of the City of Dreams Manila should also be prepared to be one of the best.
He wanted the qualities of the Manila property also to be on par with the rest of his glamorous properties in Macau and elsewhere. Hence, in compliance to his wishes, the management of the Melco Crown Entertainment had raised this property to also be one of the best in the breed in line with its sister concerns.
COD President, Geoff Andres expressed his happiness, pride and satisfaction at the huge success of their efforts. He said that they were elated at the international acknowledgement of the ideas and vision of the honorable Chairman.
This distinction by a world body will elevate the stature of the Manila property and add a few more feathers to the City of Dreams.

The designs that led to this recognition were the handiwork of the in-house team of construction and design that worked hand in hand with the reputed firm Michael Fiebrich Designs which provided designs that made it what it was.
In so doing, they could grasp firmly the essence of their brand while heightening the experience of luxury and lavishness fit only for kings.
The awesome designs were a veritable and pleasing blend of a hand-picked choice of local textures and designs to mix with the ultra-modern; this enabled the visitors to get a strong sense of the local aesthetic values.
