Nanny Juana

Nanny Juana is just a loving human being who has a kind heart, a quality that has endeared her to her employers; a family of loving people who are so besotted by her that she is like a real member of the family of the Middle-East where is lives-in.

The love she bears for them as a true Pilipino is reciprocated abundantly; she not only looks after the kids, she has even taught them the language of the Philippines but also songs and poems that they all sing in a chorus.

Aristides Julmarx Galdones

Aristides Julmarx Galdones, teaches math at a New York School and was awarded at the Awards for Excellence in 2014; his achievement is highlighted since he chose to teach at a school for immigrants. His style of teaching was innovative and encouraged the students to discuss and participate actively.

His novel style of imparting education impressed and motivated the students to higher efforts and better results. These awards recognize the innovative efforts of science and Math teachers teaching in the New York Public Schools.

A Pinoy role model, definitely!

Efren Dignos

Efren Dignos, a native of Masbate, won the Jeddah Pop Icon singing competition; till then, he had been a struggling job-hunter with meager success.

This “LIVE LIFE” singer dwelt on his humble existence since he was the youngest of three children; he had to work at 18 years when his father expired. He even had to borrow the jersey that he wore for the contest was borrowed.

But magically, when he sang “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz and “Go the distance” by Michael Bolton, his days of wearing borrowed clothes were happily over.

Ramil Buenaventura

Maths has been a devil for most of the students but this teacher has developed it like a fine art; Buenaventura, a beneficiary of Mayor Michael bloomberg’s Teacher exchange Program came to the US under the exchange teacher program by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He makes Algebra look awesome; Statistics look attractive and imitates the moves of Michael Jackson to teach Geometry.

No wonder the award-winning Pinoy has transformed boring a fun-learning experience for his pupils at the New York school. He is  an Big Apple awardee and was feted by New York City’s Department of Education.

He makes solving equations in algebra as easy as singing karaoke. He also busts some Michael Jackson dance moves to teach geometry – he slides to the left and slides to the right, pirouettes and moonwalks to teach translation, reflection, and rotation.

Rolando Maaba

He derives joy out of being useful to others whenever he gets time from his worldly calling as a Janitor in an Illinois Hospital. He migrated to America at 22 years of age and has garnered stupendous fame. He is an excellent Piano player who spends even his 15” break to entertain the sick and the ordinary workers.

He has been celebrated and lauded by Good Morning America,  Abc news, Balitang America,  youtube,  Oxfamamerica.com,  Philstar.com, XOLXOL, Diatribesandinnovations.com, Pinterest, Iristoria, Vidinfo, issuu.com and a host of others. We salute him; certainly, a PINOY to be proud of.
